Some debts are fun when you are acquiring them, but none are fun when you set about retiring them.
About Me
Kimberly Ann
Where to begin??? Military wife to Matt for 3 years. Mother to our children Zachary and Wyatt, puppies Gus, Woodrow and Buddy and lastly our horses Kid, Dakota and Skip. This is a simple and often neglected collection of great deals, saving money, reaching goals and of course our family moments!
It has been over a week since my last post and today probably won't change that. Yes, I am posting now but this is just to let you know that I will be back to posting cute pictures, funny words and any deals I run across soon. I have been SO busy since I arrived in Michigan last week that I have not had time to share, but I will be this week! PROMISE!
I can't believe it is already time for us to head to Michigan. We have been looking forward to it for months and the time has finally arrived! We will be packing up the children, dog and the horses and then traveling a total of 15+ hours over a 2 day period of time. I am very excited to head north!! I will be posting pictures hopefully by Monday or Tuesday of our trip and how everything went. Until then here are a few new pics of Wyatt:
(Quick side note: I have been lacking on my Zachary pictures but that is about to change now that he is not gone all day at school you will see more of his face soon!)
We have the largest backyard imaginable to man... well imaginable to those that live in the same development we do. Our yard is ginormous compared to the other yards in the development. Around 11am or so my little Wyatt likes to go into the backyard and play on the swing set, with the dog, with his tricycle or etc. Usually I just open the back door and let him come and go as he pleases while checking on him very frequently and I can hear him since the door is open. (Don't worry the yard is fenced)
While I was stepping out to check on him I find him doing this:
Here he is taking his "summer hat" filling it with the dogs water and then:
Placing it directly on top of his head!
What I find so funny is that he HATES and I truly mean HATES having water dumped over his head at bath time. He loathes having his hair washed for that exact reason..... perhaps I should have washed his hair while he was playing in the dog water and saved myself the crying and carrying on....... well that probably isn't the best idea now that I say that! (LOL!)
I think we may have a dancer in the family..... this says it all! I don't think God could have possibly of blessed me with a more adorable child! Enjoy!
Today is the day that mothers across the nation are celebrated for being just what they are...mothers! To all of those who are reading this that are mothers I truly hope you have a wonderful Mothers Day this year!
This Mothers Day is a little bittersweet for me. I do have my wonderful babies here with me to celebrate and show their mommy love ALL day, however you see that man in the picture below?? He is currently missing from my Mothers Day. He has been called away to his job again. It has only been 12 hours and I miss him terribly already. My youngest is to young to realize the length of his daddy's absent and my oldest has been through this many times and handles it wonderfully for a 7 year old.
I know he is away doing what he loves and fulfilling his patriotic duty but it must be said, "Damnit I am tired of sharing him!" Thankfully I will be going to Michigan for 7 weeks and keeping myself busy while he is away and the next thing I know he will be returning to me and his little boys. This is nothing new for us and I knew his job when we got married. I am BEYOND proud of him and I am anxiously awaiting his return!
Alright, back to Mothers Day! This morning I woke up to this:
My oldest baby made me a plate for Mothers Day. It is filled with hand drawn pictures of kangaroos, Alabama flags, footballs, caterpillars and an "I love mommy" from my 7 year old.
My grandparents came to visit this weekend (left this morning) and they were thoughtful enough to bring this plate and markers project for my children to decorate and give to their mommy for Mothers Day. I couldn't ask for a better present! Now off to breakfast and horse back riding! We have a busy 2 weeks leading up to our long trip to Michigan!
I rarely post specifically about my husband but I am sure it is about time! For those of you who don't know this is him (see below)... here he is looking especially dapper in white sunglasses with hearts running along the side. This is his playful/silly side:
Sorry the picture is awkwardly sideways??
His true side is this.... I swear I think he loves this new permanent entity more than he loves pretty much anything at the moment.
I admit I think it is pretty hot and I am anxious to see the finished product however, this is 5 hours in and he still has 7-10 more hours to go..... ahhh... no thank you..... no tattoos for me please!
This is my baby....My often times sweet, precious little baby.... well at least I classified him as a baby until recently I have realized he is slipping away from needing his mama every moment of the day.
I say this a rediculous number of times but; what happened to my children?? At what point did they go from needing me all the time to only needing me part of the time...? And most importantly who in the H-E -Double Hockey Sticks gave them the ok to do so?? I know for a fact that it was not me! Maybe I need to consult my husband on this question??
On Friday we had a few visitors stay at our home so that their folks could get in a date night before our men leave! (this is another post all together.) We decided to let them play, have snacks and finally watch the best Halloween movie ever made, Hocus Pocus! (which they request to watch almost every time they are here!) I come around the corner to find this:
Here is my 20 month old joining in for the movie!
My babies first sleep over. I was almost in tears watching him lay there and watch the movie with all of the other big kids. I told my husband that this was inexcusable and he could not possibly be growing up this fast.... I was hoping to hold on to the baby years until my youngest was at least 18 so that I could avoid the baby fever anytime in the near future!
