Since my husband has arrived home he has "mentioned" a few times that he started working out to the P90X dvds while he was deployed. I have seen the commercials for them before but thought it looked to be just like any other infomercial... a scam!

Finally the other day I found someone selling their dvds on craigslist. I decided to surprise him with them and now.... we are in full-blown p90x mode. Almost everyday I hear, "oh babe your going to love em'" and "this will totally get you in the shape you want." I suppose now I will have to keep everyone updated on the progress over the next 90 days....

Also on another note.. we started using Netflix this past month. Again, I have seen the commercials but, I never thought I would use $16.99 worth of movie rentals a month until we started spending $15-$16 for 3 or 4 movie rentals at the local movie store. I have to say that I LOVE NETFLIX. I order a movie and it arrives the next day. I can keep it for as long as I want and send it back in the pre-paid envelope. I order up to 3 movies at a time and they have 100's of movies that you can watch instantly from your computer. It has opened up our children's movie gallery to a whole new level!

It seems like just yesterday that my mom was down and I was big as a house at the end of August! Praying everyday that this child would finally decided to come out! Matt had just returned early from deployment and my mother was down for 2 weeks. I should have known from an early stage that both myself and Matt are hard headed and stubborn and our child would be the same way! A week late and a mass amount of petosin later my little (well not so little now) Calvin Wyatt made his entrance.... and now today 18 months later.... he is still hard headed, stubborn and looks just like his daddy!

It is not possible that my baby is already 7 years old! The time has certainly flown by! Zachary had a wonderful birthday with a few of his close friends this year. We went to the indoor children's pool on Ft. Benning and then returned home for pizza, cake, ice cream and of course present time! I baked the cake this year again and Matt decorated it, thanks to the partial skills he inherited from him mother! I must say for a guy that shoots guns for a living he is a pretty good cake decorator!

Overall, Zachary had a wonderful birthday! Thank you to all of those who came to the party as well as those he sent Zachary a gift for his birthday!

This is what we woke up to this morning:

I am not really sure when this happened? Apparently, over night. My children were thrilled and even my husband was saying the most ridiculous things such as, " YES!! I love the snow!" Who says that?? Not me, that is for sure!

Of course it raged on throughout the day and we looked like this:

Of course it was really adorable to see my little Wyatt in a huge snow suit that consumed his entire body!

And to see my Zachary out making a snow man with his friend! (He did need the help of mommy on that one.)

Seeing my little ones make use of the snow gear and sled at least once during a season was great but, I like it in southern Alabama for a reason! It is warm and no snow..... apparently God had the urge to be a bit of a jokester today....

Oh and for all of you Michigan and Missouri people reading today. A good portion of the town including Ft. Benning is either opening late today (12:00pm) or closed all together. All this for 3 or 4 inches of snow...... kinda funny compared to what we drive thru during the winter!! (Well I used to drive thru!)
