I have been recently starting to become very anxious and antsy as I am waiting for my husbands return. We have missed him very much and are trying to wait patiently however I have not been very successful at the patient part! With this being said, however my segment on the "Livin' The Large Paycheck Life" will soon come to an end being that we will be back to our normal pay. Don't misunderstand, I am more than thankful for our regular paychecks but have become accustom to the larger ones! Either way on to the June 15th paycheck breakdown!
If you have been keeping up with my "On a lighter note" posts I have lost approx. 10lbs since the middle of April. I am still working on the last 5lbs however I needed to purchase a new pair of smaller jeans. (keyword being smaller) I only wear Maurice jeans which run approx. $29 a pair. This particular brand of jeans I love and fits me great! As I picked up my pair of jeans in the store I became overwhelmed with all of the cute clothes and realized that I was beginning to feel like my old self again and not "baby fat Kim!" Needless to say you can see where I am heading and $200 later I was out the door with smaller clothes! I know you are all in shock right now however I am alright with my purchases because I rarely buy clothes for myself and do not spend a large amount of money on myself regularly.
This paycheck we were still able to shift about $1300 to our farm fund which brings us to a grand total of $5700. We still have to save another $2800 to reach our goal of $8500 by July 15th which is when we leave for Missouri and our, "Large Paycheck" life will end. I do believe that we can reach this goal without any extra money needed being that we still have 2 paychecks before we leave and typically save an average of $1200-$1500 per paycheck. I am however, expecting to receive $600 in stimulus money from back child support from my ex and the start of current child support again at $550 a month. Even without this extra money we will reach our goal or get very close to it! Only 4 more weeks to go!

Almost every month I have some type of birthday, holiday, wedding/baby shower or something that requires a gift to be purchased. Everytime I spend money on an item for one of the above mentioned I have an awful feeling of guilt come over me becuase I am dipping into money that is suppose to be used for tackling our debt! I have looked through Dave's plan and I didn't see anything that recommended taking a part of your paycheck to place towards such expenses. Any ideas or recommendations? Is there anything that you do to help plan for such expenses and if so how much do you set aside?

Well it seems as though I have skipped the last 2 paychecks and did not post to tell all about our progress.....
Although I love pay day it is also in it's own way bittersweet because I have to calculate all of the unplanned expenses which, for some reason, seem to add up tremendously!
The 15th of May was not spent as wisely as paychecks in the past. The unplanned expenses of course added up. This particular time my husband did not tell me about a credit card he used before he left, $250 later! Also, I am traveling to MI during this pay, my son needed new sandals, I had to use extra gas for doctors appts and of course the list goes on. In total we are talking around $600. (AHHHH!) I did however, receive our stimulus payment and trust me it was "stimulating" at $1576! (Thank You, Mr. Bush) I also received my ex's tax return due to back child support which was $882 and was also able to place approx. $1650 from our pay on the 15th towards the farm.
The June 1st pay was much better than May 15th. Not as many unplanned expenses have reared their ugly heads! In fact, as I think about it I haven't had any thus far. (knock on wood) I do expect to put extra gas in my tank this pay day only because I had to drive to Atlanta and back, which took about 1/2 of my gas! Regardless, I was able to place $1400 from our pay day towards the farm. Overall between the 2 paydays and the stimulus check we accomplished:
$1100 to boys mutual funds
$4400 to the farm payment
WOW!! $55oo in one month!!!
One last note:
I have done an approx. calculation on the amount of money that my husband and I will have saved by July 15th. My approx. calculation came out to $14,000! I can't believe it! That is $3500 per month!
I know it wont always be that great considering that my husband will not receive tax free pay for forever but, I am certainly enjoying it while I can!
